Welcome to The Swan Practice.
We have dedicated GP clinics for university students. These clinics are held every weekday during term time between 10:00am and 12:00pm at the Wellbeing building, which is adjacent to the Vinson Centre on Hunter Street.
Outside of term time, appointments can be made at any of our Swan Practice branches.
There are several ways you can contact us to discuss your medical concerns.
Contact us online via our website. We provide an online consultation service called Klinik whereby you complete a short form detailing your medical concerns, your request will be triaged, and you will be contacted by the most appropriate clinician. Please ensure you select the UoB option when requesting an appointment.
Order your repeat medications by using an online service provider such as the NHS App. To register for online services please click on the link below.
Appointments can also be made by calling The Swan Practice on 01280 818600 or 01280 822777. Lines are open between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Please advise the call handler you are a Buckingham University Student when requesting an appointment.
All our patients now have a named accountable GP, who is responsible for patients’ overall care at the Practice. Where a patient expresses a preference as to which GP they have been allocated, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request. Please be aware that this does not mean you can only see your named GP. Having a named GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the practice. Your named GP will not always be available and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor.
