We are delighted to announce that the development of a brand-new Health Centre at Lace Hill has received full approval and sign-off from NHS England. Our developer, Montpelier Estates, has secured the necessary planning permissions and, as soon as legalities are completed along with the transfer of funds, Montpelier Estates will be able to commence construction.
We anticipate that the new centre will be completed by the end of 2026. To secure the necessary funding for this project, we are required to consolidate all our Buckingham Town Centre sites into the new Health Centre. However, we remain committed to maintaining services at our Steeple Claydon branch. We also recognise that some patients who currently live within walking distance of our town centre surgeries may find it challenging to access the new site, and we are actively exploring solutions to support them.
This state-of-the-art facility will more than double our current clinical space in Buckingham enabling us to enhance and grow our services to better meet the needs of the expanding North Buckinghamshire community. In addition, we aim to support the wider community by making our facilities available to other local health and wellbeing service providers, fostering a truly integrated approach to care.
